GUBERNATORIAL FUNDING RECOMMENDATION:

GUBERNATORIAL FUNDING RECOMMENDATION:
Costantino Rozzo Chair: Socialist Party of New Jersey

The current campaign Funding System for New Jersey Gubernatorial Candidates should be eliminated. The system is unfair, undemocratic, and corrupt.
What should be supported in Public Elections where all candidates receive and equal share of funding, media exposure without editorializing or censorship.

The system doesn’t work and creates a winner take all economy for advantage candidates. This is unfair. While some candidates may have just two hundred dollars to work with, others will receive a jackpot after raising $300,000.

This also limits the appearances and campaign opportunities for the disadvantage candidates, while fostering more appearances and media opportunities for those who are winning the financial race.

As Financially disadvantages candidates do not get Fair and equitable treatment, they have no opportunities for outreach and exposure. It is like giving Goliath a chance to beat on David with more advantages, stacking the deck in the advantage candidate’s favor.

This system is a cheat to candidates with no out reach or resources. It deprives those already deprived.
This intended purpose of this system is inherently flawed and less than enlightened. By no means does this system been in placed with intent for a better Democracy. In fact in counter Democracy on every level.

Disallowing the people exposure to a candidate takes away freedom of choice, freedom of expression, and freedom to allow individuals to make up there own mind on their own accord.

This system should be repealed in behalf of Public Campaign funding for all candidates. It would foster a better Democracy and remove corruption and power brokering and allow fidelity to the citizen in a Government by the people and for the people.

Thank You

Gubernatorial Funding Debate

GUBERNATORIAL FUNDING DEBATE:
Costantino Rozzo Chair: Socialist Party of New Jersey

I state that I find this system fundamentally flawed. Where as this system creates a winner take all system of funding, it has a negative effect on Alternative Party Candidates, and especially Alternative Party candidates with out resources. Giving the designated winners in the Democratic and Republican parties unfair advantages. And Alternative Party’s and Independents with privilege and even great advantage over disadvantaged candidates. This creates an unfair winner take all campaign for election.

The system is implicitly and explicitly corrupt. Implicitly because of unfair advantages privilege candidates have. This creates censorship and suppression taking away the ability to reach the people in a fair an equitable basis.
It is explicitly corrupt because many candidates will have to sell themselves to the special interest to raise funds. This means a Candidate will no longer have fidelity to the people, but those who invest in them.
One candidate must do it their way and get money and votes.
If not, the money and votes disappear.
All Candidate Finding in New Jersey operates the same way. It incites corruption, creates unfair advantages,
Censors and suppresses Disadvantaged candidates.
In essence to create a better Democracy we should be serious about our approach to Democracy, which we are not.
In a real Democracy fairness and equality are key. All people can make a choice based on fairness. That fairness comes when ALL candidates get equal funding regardless of previously raised campaign funds.
The Gubernatorial Campaign Funding initiative should be a Gubernatorial Fair Election Funding initiative
Where all candidates benefit.
As far as Pay for Play goes, that is another manner of legalized corruption and a source of candidate purchasing/ Political prostitution seems to be the order of the day in New Jersey. The system must be changed for fairness and equity.

Thank You

Piscataway PCTV

Delivered October 19th on Picataway NJ (Public Cable Channeo 22)

MY NAME IS COSTANTINO ROZZO. I AM RUNNING WITH THE SOCIALIST PARTY USA.
MY PURPOSE IN RUNNING FOR GOVERNOR IS TO RETURN POWER TO THE PEOPLE.
THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM IS A DEVASTING FAILURE AND VERY UN DEMOCRATIC
WE PAY HIRER TAXES THAN EVER BEFORE. OUR SCHOOL
SYSTEM NEED IMPROVEMENT. OUR QUALITY OF LIFE IS DIMISHING.
WE NEED TO PAVE A NEW ROAD AND CREATE A NEW WORLD. THE PATH TO GET US THERE IS IN A SOCIALIST GOVERNMENT. IT WILL LEAD US TO A DAWNING OF A NEW DAY.
WE NEED A SYSTEM THAT TAKES CARE OF ITS SICK AND ELDERLY, THAT LEAVES NO HUMAN BEING WITH OUT DIGNITY. WE NEED A NEW SYSTEM OF COMPASSION AND WISDOM THAT WILL CHANGE OUR WORLDS. SOME CRITICISE THAT SOCIALISM TAKES CARE OF PEOPLE THEIR WHOLE LIVES. TO AN EXTENT THAT IS TRUE. BUT MY EXPERIENCES WITH A CAPITALIST GOVERNMENT IS THAT IT FORSAKES US WHEN WE ARE IN NEED. IT IS A COLD AND CRUEL SYSTEM THAT LEAVES ITS CITIZENS WITH OUT A SAFETY NET.
I WOULD RATHER HAVE THE GOVERNMENT TAKE CARE OF ITS CITIZENS. RATHER THAN ONE THAT TAKES THEIR LIVES AWAY.
A NEW SYSTEM WILL ENSURE HOPE AND SECURITY. A NEW SYSTEM WILL HELP US FULFILL OUR ASPIRATIONS.
WE LIVE IN A TIME OF GREAT INSECURITY. WHEN PEOPLE MAKING $60,000 A YEAR ARE DOWNSIZED AND THEY ARE NOW WORKING FOR $6.00 AND HOUR. PEOPLES LIVES ARE CONSTANTLY BEING CRUSHED IN THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM, AND EVEN WHEN THERE ARE GOOD TIMES, THERE ARE ALWAYS THOSE LEFT BEHIND.
WHEN OUR CHILDREN HOPE FOR A BETTER LIFE, THEIR HOPES ARE DASHED BY THE RELEGATION OF A LESSER, UNFULFILLING, DISAPPOINTING LIFE. WHERE HOPES DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS ARE IMPOSSIBLE
IT TAKES REAL VISION TO FOSTER COURRAGEOUS IDEAS. ONES WE HAVE BEEN LACKING FOR DECADES.
OUR FUTURE MUST BE A MEANINGFUL ONE. / ONE WHERE GOVERNMENT IS ACCOUNTABLE, EDUCATES, MENDS THS SICK, RELIEVES THE INDEGENT, AND SOLVES PROBLEMS ONCE AND FOR ALL. ONE DAY WE WILL CREATE A WORLD THAT WANTS FOR NOTHING. WHERE GOVERNMENT IS HONEST AND JUST FOR ALL. WHERE PEOPLE WILL HAVE MEANIGFUL LIVES, IN A WORLD WHERE THERE IS NO DISPARITY. WE NEED TO FOSTER A BENFICIAL BROADBASED ECONOMY, NOT THE LINEAR ONES THAT REPUBLICRATS HAVE TO OFFER. WE NEED TO RISE THE TIDE SO ALL BOATS CAN FLOAT AND EACH PERSON CAN USE THEIR TALENTS AS DESIRED. OUR WORLD WILL CONTAIN PEACE, HOPE, LOVE AND HUMANITY AND WE MUST CHANGE OUR VALUES THAT WE MUST EMBRACE NEW ONES. ROBERT F KENNEDY ONCE SAID, “SOME PEOPLE SEE THE POSSIBILITIES AND ASK WHY? I SEE THE POSSIBILITIES AND ASK, WHY NOT?”
THANK YOU, AND MAY YOU BE BLESSED. VOTE FOR ME , COSTANTINO ROZZO, NOVEMBER 8TH.

Homeless in Vineland NJ

Reading David Klausen’s article on homelessness is a lesson in our lives we must
Amend.
Mr. Klausen’s article is replete with the dark hearted ignorance we are plagued with today.
The homeless do not ask to be homeless. But they are Societies and a Sociological problem. Once again displaying a major defect in our political enviroment here in Vineland, and the rest of America.
We live in a dark ages where myths and misinformation plague our sense of humanity.
Hitler during WW2 was successful at dehumanizing Jews with propaganda. Our Right wing in this nation has done the same with the poor.
If we effect the policies of a Basic Income, Living Wage, Affordable Housing, Jobs for all in a manner of various implementations the government can provide.
But I can understand Mr. Klausen. He is a man who has worked hard, and believes he and his kindred deserve peace and safety in there community. Once again it is our systems fault. If Vineland where a Sustainable Community we would have better solutions for the Homeless. But Mr. Klausen is speaking from fear. I known the homeless intimately.
Their problem stems from varied degrees of poverty. Many Homeless are working families, many are people who fell through the cracks because of the systems inadequacies. Poverty is important on a political scope because the impoverished can be turned into indentured servants, disposable after the labor exploitation with is perpetuated by the welfare system. Who could believe needy senior citizens could only get $10 a month from TANF.
The awful thing about Mr. Klausen is that he parrots the ignorance of the extreme right. The answer is not to get the homeless out of their enviroment , but to improve their enviroment. And the quality of life.
Homeless behavior, such as urinating in the street, or drug abuse, and other things do happen, but that is because-they have no where else to go. Drugs come into play do to the deadening of the mind from the effects of poverty.
I have met many homeless people. I stayed at Poverty Hotels and Other inadequate living facilities in my life and they are the daylight side of a nightmare.
The defect of the system is we make these people then blame them for turning out this way. Conservative Ignorance shuns social programs thusly perpetuating more misery
Compounding the burdens of the poor and society. Conservatives create a vicious cycle
Of misery than blame others for it. Than the labels and myths come. What the poor need is a rescue.
No one aspires to become homeless or poor. The system isn’t about fulfilling our aspirations. It is about defeatism. Successful people and upper middle class people cannot even relate to the poor. I was making good money at a time, yet because of rent and expenses, I ate Egg Salad Sandwiches everyday. When I had something more nutritious to eat finally, I thought my body would go into shock.

That is all I could afford. Laundrey and rent and the cost of living was too high even with good money. I met many poor and homeless. Few where mentally ill, yet I have met some really beautiful souls who lives hadn’t worked out. I hear conservatives today, even religious ones say that welfare is immoral. And these people are hooked into the Christian Right. Yet I read in the Bible All god wants for his children is abundance and joy. Those who mend the sick and host the poor earn the keys to the kingdom, and finally, Gods highest virtue is charity.
I have seven bibles and have read those words in all seven.
And enlightened society and government solves problems. The long mean season and dark ages continues on. When will it come to an end

Immanent Domain

Abraham Lincoln once said you can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all the people all of the time. In today’s would he would be wrong. Immanent Domain is the evil twin of privatization. In New Jersey the state of political ideology is Apartheid and Gentrification.
Immanent Domain is an attack on our Solidarity as a community. The idea behind these projects is to steal home from homeowners, than build home more expensive than ever, replacing the original neighborhood with a wealthier neighborhood. This is part of the class war against working families. The prosperity and jobs carrot is one of the tricks used to fool people into thinking this is good for all when it is only good for those who benefit.
The Borgata Casino in Atlantic City is one example. They busted up an entirely good neighborhood for a Casino and a tunnel-a tunnel almost no one uses. A Neighborhood destroyed because they had solidarity and was in the way of the Atlantic City political structure.
I grew up vacationing in Long Branch, being born and raised in Paterson I considered myself quite lucky to have a beach nearby. The home where quaint and I love the Inn we stayed at on Matilda Terrace. I even used to take my College dates on train rides from Newark to my favorite beach.
Christy Todd Whitman privatized most public entities. The entities provided and income for the state, which kept property taxes down. Now we have to pay higher taxes because she did her rich friends a favor.
In New York, North Jersey, and other parts real estate prices became out of the reach of the common worker, places once blue collar like Hoboken. Hackensack, and Metuchen are now yuppie communities. In my younger days you could have a basic job, get a pad, and live like a king. That isn’t the case anymore.
The idea is gentrification to replace lower income people with higher income people, then apartheid, displace low to middle income families and remove their empowerment so they may even have to leave the state.
According to the U N Charter of Human Rights this is a Violation. I live in South Jersey and would love to live in North Jersey. That has become impossible because even if I where making good money, I still cannot afford a decent place. In essence I have been displaced from my homeland, my people, my culture, my way of life.
I miss home everyday and I have been marooned outside of it for years. I resent that.
That is why I am running for Governor of New Jersey as a Socialist Party USA candidate. I am not allowed the same press coverage as Corzine or Forrester and we in alternative parties are alienated from the system.
Our Bastille Day is way overdue, and we need to open our national and local sense of consciousness to what is really going. We must snap out of it. Realize the system doesn’t work and change it. So, your vote for me is a vote against the system that is ruining our lives. We need a fair and equitable system. The two party system will never deliver that, they are all business.

NJ Economics

ECONOMIC STIMULOUS:

The Free Market economy isn’t free. It is a Neo Liberal economy based on linear profits and monopoly. There are solution to our Economic Situation. First of all the Corporate and Conformist news media has been telling inaccuracies about funds, the economy, and what is available and what can be available.
One, put and end to Pay for Play and Graft. Close useless departments. End welfare and TANF in favor of the Universal Income. Restructure for frugality and efficiency and responsible, accountable spending. This is a complicated process not easily done right away.
In the day The SP-USA’s mayors ran cities with great care, planning, and attention to need. There where plans for sustainability and growth as needed.
Now Cities and the states evolve around the automobile. Alternative energies
Shall be pursued.
As far as employment goes, we first need a workers bill of rights, a living wage, and creation of:
A Department of Co-operative Development which allows employee’s work place democracy.
Loans for Cottage industries fitting the criteria for sustainability and community.
Foster Telecommute Jobs (Legitimate ones), and home business and employment development.

We need to restore the Public Advocate, give the Department of Labor real human rights initiatives and prosecution powers.
We need to go after corporate criminals and levy huge fines for violations.
We need a progressive income tax which places the burden where it belongs, on the top 1%.
We need a McMansion tax ranging about $6000. A year and extra for fuel inefficiency.
(This is another way to create affordable house in North and South Jersey.)
Levy a tax on High Pollution vehicles.
We need consumer protection and finds that are levied on defective products.
Eliminate Corporate welfare in NJ.
Like ancient Rome the system is being ruined by the wealthy. They myth that the poor are a drain on society is incorrect.
We need a new society and a new American dream. A less shallow and materialistic dream
WE need to revamp the Education system and educate for competence not class.
We need to inspire and educate and encourage with real teaching modes and techniques.
The money is there for all social programs and their initiatives. The cost would be nominal compared to what the top 1% is getting away with. We need to get a hold of the Federal Government and also makes changes. New Jersey should be self sufficient and self standing. Lets make it so.

Running For Governor

Running for Governor isn’t easy. People will ask questions. These questions aren’t easy to answer. In our world of instant gratifying sound bites, things are more complicated. Issues cannot easily be expressed because issues are complicated with tons of data.
When Ross Perot was asked questions, he didn’t seem to know the answers, though spoke about them in his Infomercials.
Data is vast and hard to hold onto, but we all have initial ideas. The initial ideas are root ideas that are worthy of merit.
The question many would have is could you explain your agenda. The basic agenda is on the website. Mostly, explained on the website.
Then the question is, How are you going to have this stuff passed? Well, since I am not going to be elected, and we are out numbered, by the two party duopoly, which is maintaining the status quo.
The Candidacy is an expression of protest. It is about getting members, letting people who are like minded know you are there.
One day this may translate into a majority. We realistically cannot expect too much.
Now, or in the near future.
When we look at it the world has chosen Socialism as its leading political transformation.
Portugal, Spain, four South American countries, and Argentina. New Zealand has Helen Clark of the Labor Party and Canada’s Socialist Party the New Democratic Party usually
Lead for transformation.
The is no Utopia nor perfect society, yet each people of each nation wishes to institute humane economics with real transformation. Not reform like the Democrats, Republicans, or Greens.
Politics and elections in Te United State are rigged to designated winners. Ballot Access, real democracy, publicly funded Elections, are all an impossibility in the two Party System.
In a Democracy everyone’s word is heard with out censorship. People have freedom of choice to maintain or dispose of the government. In a poll 87% of the people wanted alternative parties to vote for.
Yet in New Jersey and the USA, Alternative Parties are stifled. The Greens and Libertarians get a fairer share of the pie, but further to the left, parties are regularly ignored and get no press.
In Europe and other countries up to ten parties are on the ballot. There is no myth of stealing votes. No one can steal a vote, people vote on their own volition.
There is 97% voter turn out, while here on 37% vote.
The media tells spin and myths about politics here. My suggestion-Educate yourself.
Go to the library, hit the net. There is a website called Broad Left.
There are three Socialist Parties in America, actually two.
Socialist Party USA. Socialist Labor Party. Socialist Workers Party is a Communist Splinter group. Communists call themselves Socialist because of broad appeal to workers. All communists are Socialists, not all socialist are communists, as all socialists are social democrats, but not all social democrats are socialists.
As a socialist I believe in a progressive freeform non philosophical non dogmatic and pure non contrived avenue of democracy. A true and real democracy.
